Saturday Noon

The doctors would like Mark to wake up today so they have reduced his sedation by about 1/2 the amount. He is exercising on his own...pulling his knees up and moving his arms. His eyes are opening wider and appear as thought he is trying to focus. He is breathing mostly on his own which is a big improvement. We are very pleased with his progress and are hopeful for a productive day. He is beginning to cough and we are glad to see there is some facial expressions of pain. We are sure all the broken ribs are very painful.

Melanie Glaus & David Duncan brought me to the hospital area dropping Clayson back off at the Alcorn's (also known as Clayson's disneyworld). So I am feeling refreshed and relieved that Clayson has a better understanding of the situation. Mark's parents are still here with us and seem to be handeling the stress beautifully. Thank you all for everything.

Love,
Stephanie and Warren
