Mark is finally breathing on his own!!! I'm am overflowing with joy. He is making such great progress today. I am unsure how long they will let him breath without assistance but for the moment he is my hero. After days and days of asking him to hold up two fingers he finally DID IT!!!
They changed his insulin from humalog is lantus which is a more long acting insulin. He is on a beta blocker to control his blood pressure. He body seems to be functioning much more independently now. He is trying to get up and out of bed.
Marjean just walked out and said his blood pressure is rising and they had to give him some haldol to relieve his anxiety. I better make a run for it.
