Saturday evening

Though the day was very quiet for a while, the afternoon was busy for Mark. The Doctors came in and switched his main line from the groin area to back in his neck (it was moved to the groin for travel). They also changed his feeding tube from his mouth to his nose. They explained why but with our limited medical knowledge we both just nodded our heads and said "Yeah, that makes sense" and then they left and we were clueless. Whatever the reason they assured us that it was the thing to do. Something about bypassing the stomach to get it further into the digestive tract. To switch all these things out they had to sedate him again so he has been pretty quiet since around 4 o'clock. He continues to react to Stephanie and as she talks to him (she sang to him once but he clearly was not impressed so she is sticking with just talking!!) it is comforting to know that he is reaching out to her.
All of his test results continue to come back good. His kidneys are functioning normally and he has not run a fever at all today. We really don't know what tomorrow will hold. The Doctor came in around 10 this a.m. and will be here the same time tomorrow. You can clearly see that this hospital is getting their own baseline data and today was the day to get him aclimated to this hospitals way of doing things.
Stephanie has had a long day. More than anything she is exhausted so as much as possible she has napped today. It is only in short shifts but seems to recharge her enough to keep her going. She continues to need prayers of strength as Mark continues to need prayers of healing. She is so thankful for all the prayers and well wishes so please keep them coming.
Will update again in the morning.
